About
About this session
The number of older adults needing complex care is growing far faster than the licensed clinical workforce, and hiring alone won’t close the gap. This panel explores how skilled nursing facilities can expand clinical capacity without adding headcount, through technology, changes in where care is delivered, and a fresh look at what is actually permissible.
Describe how hospice, hospital at home and complex pediatric home care extend clinical capacity through distributed care teams and remote clinical oversight.
Differentiate between what state regulations permit, what organizational policies allow and what clinical teams believe is permissible.
Identify opportunities to expand wound care capacity in SNF and home settings through RN direction and supervision of trained care staff.
Identify change management risks and strategies that support safe, sustainable adoption of new care models.
